Why welsh socialist republicanism?
Socialism and independence are as one in the same as the larger part of the process of social liberation.
The modern Welsh nation in the 21st century requires a combination of revolutionary socialism and national liberation. Today, Wales functions as a colony of extraction, where the British state continues to exploit Welsh resources and land. Although there have been some advancements regarding the treatment of the Welsh language and its people, these improvements are insufficient, as most of them have been gradual and do not signify a genuine transformation in the plight of the Welsh working class. This lack of true emancipation is expected, given the parasitic nature of the British state.
To achieve this, Wales must liberate itself from the British state, but not through the Welsh Assembly, which serves merely as a new management system for British control over Wales. Additionally, it must adopt a socialist approach; otherwise, the British state will continue to dominate Wales alongside its landlords and capitalists, perpetuating the existing economic structure.
Loyalism or allegiance to the British government and other capitalist powers like Spain or the United States should be regarded as a danger to the working-class revolution, with no room for compromise; it represents a pro-imperialist and sectarian ideology that is fundamentally reactionary. Therefore, we must separate from the chauvinist-led communist movement within the British state, which has proven to be unproductive.
The struggles for national liberation and socialism across the world should be firmly supported without fail The nationalism of an oppressed nation is vastly different from that of the oppressor the struggle for national liberation is the best way in such nations to create armed struggle and class mobilisation.
As to the way this goal is achieved many ways of struggle and organisation will be used from strikes mutual aid boycotts and so on but in the end it will most likely have to take the form of violence (Peoples war) to carry out the proletarian revolution. While rejecting militarism as socialists we must defend without exception the right of the working class to force as a means to overthrow capitalism.
So in conclusion there can be no Cymru rydd without socialism and no socialism on this island without the destruction of the British state.
